Rates: $35 per Kayak - we shuttle you upstream.
$25 per Kayak - you take the Kayak to one of our lakes.
(add $10 for tandom kayaks)

Cumberland River Kayak Ride:

Come explore the headwaters of the Cumberland River and see the beauty and nature of Harlan County's waterways. We'll shuttle you upstream several miles on the Poor Fork of the Cumberland River and then you can spend the day paddling your way back to the campground. You can expect dozens of class I rapids and ever so often a class II rapid along way.

Martin's Fork/Crank's Creek Lake:

If you're looking for calmer waters and want to spend the day floating or fishing in a Kayak then we've got the places for you. Located about 22 minutes from the campground are two of Harlan County's best kept secrets. Martin's Fork lake is perfect for hanging on it's white sand beach or taking out your Kayak for a run on the waters. If your a little more adventurous you can slip over to Crank's Creek Lake nearby and paddle out to their island and have a picnic.

The Kayak's:

We rent the Perception Tribe kayaks. They come in three sizes, 9.5 ft, 11.5 ft, and 13.5 ft Tandom that hold two people. The Tribe is a low-maintenance kayak, but don't mistake simplicity for slow and bulky. It offers speed, control, and comfort. The ergonomic design puts the paddler's feet level with the body rather than at an awkward angle. Ample storage opportunities, including a new aftermarket hatch indication will have you living in the moment while thinking about what adventures next weekend will bring. Best of all unlike a canoe they cannot be sunk and are very easy to handle.
